My name is Julia I was born in Moscow, Russia and lived there till I was a teenager. My family and I moved to the USA when I was 14 years old. I am now a stay at home mom as I have a Disabled child named Nicolas who has Epilepsy and CP.

My Passion for vintage Barbie dolls started a little more than 10 years ago and I have been collecting and restoring them ever since. I love Barbie! My love affair with Barbie started when I realized restoring her was what I wanted to do. Restoring old sad Barbie dolls back to their original beauty is my passion and one of the reasons I fell in such love with Barbie. As an artist I always loved drawing and painting human portraits. Restoring Barbie dolls is very similar to that as well as the stopmotion animation I used to do in collage. I believe that no Vintage Barbie doll should ever be thrown away or discarded. I think their imperfections is what makes each one special which is why I love #3 Ponytails most of all as each one is unique.
There are many factors that affect the value of Barbie dolls. Barbie dolls that show a significant amount of wear can be less valuable and less desirable. If you are considering restoration for your Barbie doll, please make sure that the restoration being done is done well and is historically correct. I will not change any #3 or #4 into a #1 or #2, I find it unethical to do so. I strive for perfection in everything I do and I do my best to make your doll look as close as possible to original. Any restoration changes made to your dolls, should you ever consider selling her must be disclosed. Any and all paint applications that are done at Juliasbarbiedollrestoration are done with removable paint and are not permanent.
